Toy Week Day 2: Special Toy Lines

Over the years, There have been special Power Rangers Toy Lines. Some are here, some are there and some are exclusive. All photos are from GrnRngr.com's Toy Guide.

The first special toy line was "Power Rangers Heroes". It was a KBToys exclusive from Fall 1998 to the time it closed down. The Saban Era Heroes were out from Fall 1998-Spring 2006.

Next up was "Power Rangers Power Playback". This toy line was to promote Fox Kids' final airings of Classic Power Rangers episodes from MMPR to In Space (Which turned out to ONLY be MMPR). Basically, all that was released was MMPR reissues. The line lasted from Fall 1999-Spring 2000.

The next special toy line (the first in 6 years) were Red Ranger figures. Special Editions of the Red Rangers from Mighty Morphin-Lost Galaxy were made. They were also rereleased with special metallic chests. Two other figures were re-released with new stuff as Disney Store exclusives. The line lasted from Fall 2006-Fall 2008.

The next one was to commemorate the show's 15th anniversary. Sold as ToysRUs exclusives, This line sold like hotcakes. Special Editions of the Red Rangers from Lightspeed Rescue-Wild Force were made.  Collectible figures were also made and separated into 3 sets featuring all the Red Rangers. The line was only available in Fall 2007.

The last one known to date was called "Power Rangers Super Legends". The line featured 5-inch figures of our Green and White Mighty Morphin heroes, one being a villain named Lord Zedd, Special editions of the Mighty Morphin and Wild Force Megazord, a special edition of the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger and the Lightspeed Titanium Ranger. The line lasted Fall 2008-Spring 2009.

That's it for Day 2. See you tomorrow when I do the toyline ratings.
